Model overview
The Komatsu PC55MR is a mini/compact hydraulic excavator in the 5-tonne class, built with a tight tail-swing radius and a swing boom that hugs the machine body for close-quarters digging. The current PC55MR-5 generation uses a Komatsu engine rated at approx. 29.6 kW (39.7 hp) net, with Komatsu's closed-centre load-sensing (CLSS) hydraulic system, and lists operating weight in the range of approx. 5,150-5,270 kg depending on configuration. Komatsu positions the MR series for tight-access sites where a conventional tail swing cannot fit.
